Control of testicular function

• Testosterone secretion from Leydig cells in response to LH

• FSH tropic to Sertoli cells - stimulate secretion of ABP (androgen-binding protein) and inhibin

Feedback

• testosterone inhibits LH secretion by acting on anterior pituitary, by inhibing secretion of GnRH from hypothalamus

• inhibins acts on anterior pituitary to inhibit FSH secretion
